TeacherActive is currently working with an Ofsted outstanding SEMH provision based in Oxford. Their philosophy is holistic, inclusive, aspirational, and progressive. They deliver a structured education program tailored to each student’s individual needs, considering their education, health, and care plan. Students are taught in small cohorts and sometimes individually by fully qualified teachers.
We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience in alternative provision who can engage fully. Someone who can build strong relationships with vulnerable children, encouraging them to explore, question, and challenge, while working collaboratively alongside staff members as part of a team. This is a challenging but highly rewarding role where you will see firsthand the impact of your support and nurturing abilities on the learners.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
Experience working with children and young people with additional needs, specifically SEMH, ASD, ADHD
GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths
Excellent verbal and written communication skills enabling you to work with colleagues and students at all levels
