Job description
Introduction
Our client, a leading manufacturing company in the cable industry, is currently seeking a Cable Assembler to join their team. As a Cable Assembler, you will be responsible for the assembly of coaxial cable assemblies, tinning with solder pots, heat shrinking, crimping, soldering, cable preparation, and testing. This is a contract position with opportunities for progression based on individual performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assembly of coaxial cable assemblies
2. Tinning with solder pots
3. Heat shrinking
4. Crimping with handheld or crimp-cradle
5. Working with multi-component connectors
6. Soldering when appropriate with tongs or irons
7. Comprehending and following drawings and instructions
8. Carrying out cable preparation and terminating connectors onto the cable
9. Working at a bench (either standing or sitting)
10. Automated and manual cutting of cable lengths
11. Automated cable stripping
12. Testing - basic continuity to signal wave from analysis & phase matching
Job Requirements
13. Experience in cable assembly
14. Good concentration and attention to detail
15. Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity
16. Ability to listen well to instructions and guidance
Hours of Work
Monday - Friday, 08:30-17:30 (07:30 - 16:30)
