SEN Outreach Teaching Assistant (Torbay)

Pay: £85 - £90 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Outreach Teaching Assistant to work with children across the Torbay area. This role focuses on delivering personalised support to students in alternative settings, such as their homes or community spaces, helping them achieve their educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one or small group support to children with SEN in outreach settings.
Deliver individualised learning plans tailored to the unique needs of each student.
Build strong, trusting relationships with students and their families.
Promote social, emotional, and academic development through a nurturing approach.
Monitor progress and provide feedback to the wider support team.
Adapt teaching strategies and resources to engage students in varied environments.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience working with children with SEN, particularly in one-to-one or outreach settings.
Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable to meet diverse needs.
Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Be proactive, resourceful, and committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable students.
Hold a valid DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
A driving license and access to a vehicle are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
