We are seeking a talented CAD Designer to join our client's product design development team. The ideal candidate will translate creative concepts into detailed technical drawings, working closely with their manufacturing and design team to bring innovative solutions to life.
What they are looking for:
* Strong IT skills, ideally with a minimum of 3 years' experience in AutoCAD.
* Confident in reading and understanding technical drawings.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
* Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal departments and clients.
* Work closely with the Sales & Production team to assist with troubleshooting or new product developments.
* A keen eye for design, along with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Must be able to work well independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to adapt and work under pressure.
Main duties and responsibilities:
* Produce manufacturing drawings and specifications for bespoke products in a timely manner.
* Report to the CAD Manager.
* Update and manage all current drawings and documents after the initial training period.
* Support prototype development and testing.
* Assist in the development and preparation of new designs and contribute to the successful implementation of projects.
* Ensure designs meet quality standards, safety regulations, and manufacturing capabilities.
Qualifications:
* Recognised qualification in design technology.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and rendering software.
* Advantageous background in design.
* Workshop and professional development courses.
Employment type: Permanent - Full-time
Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday) 8-5 with 1 hour lunch
Salary Range: £26,000 to £30,000 (dependent on experience)
Location: Office-based in Chichester, West Sussex
