Handyperson Role
Reporting into the Location Manager, responsibilities will include:
1. Carrying out day to day minor maintenance and repairs, to a high standard, contributing to a happy and comfortable environment for customers.
2. Differentiating between minor repairs and when more specialist skills are required.
3. Ensuring equipment is used safely, with instructions and health and safety procedures being followed at all times.
Required knowledge & experience:
4. Previous gardening, building or maintenance experience is desirable.
5. Range of practical skills including maintenance and gardening.
6. Understanding of data protection and confidentiality and the safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
7. Health & safety in the workplace.
Required skills:
8. Well organized and able to plan workload.
9. Strong interpersonal and empathy skills and a friendly personality.
10. Able to work individually and as part of a team.
11. Ability to undertake a wide range of activities.
12. Customer focused at all time.
Gardener role
Reporting into the Maintenance Manager, responsibilities will include:
13. All associated gardening duties within the Village.
14. Identifying and ensuring health & safety standards are met.
15. Escalating concerns and issues.
Required Knowledge and experience:
16. Previous experience as a Gardener covering a large site
17. Customer Service Level 2 or equivalent experience.
18. Ability to read, understand and complete tasks as set out by your manager.
19. Knowledge of health & safety in the workplace, along with an understanding of the safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
Required Skills:
20. Commitment to providing a high quality service.
21. Strong interpersonal and empathy skills with an approachable attitude.
22. Flexible to work shifts including weekends, reliable and able to adapt and work under pressure. Able to create an environment where customers feel at home
23. Able to work as part of a team and individually.
