About our team
The National Account Manager reports into the Channel Controller and will have full ownership and responsibility for the Diageo portfolio in one of our top strategic customers in the Take Home Trade channel in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver Customer NSV, Trading Profit, Cash and Market Share Targets
* Utilise customer, shopper and brand insights to develop compelling customer propositions for the full portfolio.
* Lead and achieve effective sales strategies.
* Measure and evaluate all sales driver activity, customer satisfaction and communicate results internally and externally.
* Provide the gold standard to Diageo for the formulation of strategy and execution of account plans with Field Sales Team.
* Ensure that performance reporting systems are used to forecast, monitor and lead the business in a consistently accurate way.
* Effectively use Diageo tools to ensure preferred supplier status, competitive advantage and category captaincy to deliver mutual benefits and results.
* Lead the negotiation of commercial arrangements within the Trade Term guidelines.
You will be the decision maker for the customer proposition, detailed account activity plans and creative propositions, including course correction/investment level adjustments required, and the customer contact plan.
You will also lead the business Performance management process by settling the level of stock required with the customer to achieve the agreed plan.
You will figure out the best opportunities to manage cost and maximise value at an account level.
About you
* 5+ years of customer sales experience, ideally in a FMCG environment and an ability to build relationships with customers, supported by proven negotiation skills capability.
* Experienced in engaging cross-functionally with senior leaders with a previous responsibility for the deployment and management of meaningful financial budgets.
* Highly numerical with experience in development of profitable customer propositions and a comprehensive understanding and previous delivery of key commercial measures.
* Ability to structure and present compelling commercial propositions with excellent verbal communication and organisational skills.
* Full clean driving license.
