Finance Manager

Location: Hybrid Working – Home Based/Princes Risborough (4 days per month on site)
Salary: £50,000 - £56,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract: Fixed Term initially 6 months, with potential to become permanent
Hours: Full time - 35 hours per week

The Role:
We’re looking for a Finance Manager to join their dynamic finance team. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will:
* 🏦 Lead treasury management, finance processes, and controls improvement.
* 📊 Produce monthly management and annual reports and accounts.
* 💡 Provide a high-quality, customer-focused finance service.
* 📈 Oversee the association’s general insurance portfolio, VAT management, and banking relationship.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for all activities relating to company accounts, including annual reports and detailed financial interpretations.
* Handle complex accounting, tax, treasury issues, and process improvements.
* Refer policy and significant process changes to the Director of Corporate Services.
Qualifications:
* Qualified accountant – ACCA, CIMA, ACA (or equivalent).
* Experience in managing a small team and preparing management and year-end financial accounts.
* Skilled in developing monthly reporting packs for budget owners and senior managers.
* Ability to resolve complex accounting problems and propose tactical financial solutions.
* Experience in preparing VAT returns, ideally including partial exemption.
Skills:
* Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
* Effective communication with staff, business managers, executives, and external stakeholders.
* Excellent organizational and management ability.
* Advanced PC skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook proficiency.
