IT Support Technician

Who we are looking for:
We are looking for an experienced IT Support Technician who can deliver first class end-user IT support at both our Coleshill, West Bromwich facilities and in collaboration with the wider Atkore global IT team.
What you will do:
As our IT Technician, you will be part of an international support team working with the local IT Manager and global Atkore support peers in delivering first class and customer focused IT services.
1. Delivering first class customer service in IT support to both local and remote users
2. Troubleshooting and solving first-line hardware and software issues
3. Service desk management
4. Configure, install, infrastructure and user equipment.
5. Help build, manage, monitor, and administer Atkore’s local and cloud-based infrastructure.
6. Platform delivery and maintenance both local and PAAS, as well as working with outsourced service providers to ensure service metrics are met.
There will also be opportunity for personal development and to work on exciting larger strategic projects such as infrastructure upgrades and corporate change programmes including CRM, ERP and BI.
What you bring:
7. Proven experience working as an IT support technician or similar role to support a fast paced, demanding manufacturing environment.
8. Communications skills – both verbal and written; engaged approach.
9. Drive, focus and tenacity to provision and resolve under pressure.
10. Continuous improvement mindset
11. Microsoft suite (AD, Office,, Azure)
12. Hardware asset configuration and provision; PCs, tablets etc.
13. Software support skills and problem-solving expertise.
14. Comms, Core networking technologies, Voice, and collaboration technology.
15. Logical and Physical cyber security awareness
16. Display initiative and can work collaboratively with our key departments/users to deliver service enhancements for our business.
