About the Role
Reporting to Materials Manager you will be responsible for the management and control of bought in parts (BIP’s), including ordering, receipting and issuing. Stock rotation, quality and stock counts will be a key element of the role.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
7. Efficient and timely handling of all materials
8. Support Production through timely and accurate delivery of Parts
9. Use of PIT in a safe and efficient manner including Counterbalance, Reach Truck, Pallet Stacker, Tugger Truck etc.
10. Processing of Parts received to both Production and Stores
11. Prompt and accurate control of paperwork
12. Loading and Unloading of Materials deliveries
13. Compliance with inventory control measures
14. Compliance with internal environmental and waste management procedures
15. Following Standard Work procedures
16. General Housekeeping Duties
About you
The successful candidate must have :
17. Previous experience of working in a fast moving manufacturing environment
18. Valid PIT licence, preferably Counterbalance
19. IT literate – previous experience of MRP style system would be advantageous
20. Educated to GCSE standard
21. Understanding of Inventory Control
