Salary / Benefits
£45,000 - £53,000, negotiable dependant on experience. plus package / car allowance
Company Information
A leading European tier 1 supplier for railway electrification is currently looking to add a Senior Environmental Advisor to their team.

Candidate Specification
1. Have a Degree or equivalent level qualification within a relevant discipline
2. Good understanding of the UK legislative framework and requirements
3. Network Rail project background and working knowledge of NR-L2-ENV-015
4. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and support as required
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
6. Full driving licence
7. The ability to stay calm and meet deadlines
8. Flexibility to travel to different locations
9. Member of IEMA (AIEMA minimum)
10. Environment related experience minimum 4 years
Role Information
11. Be part of the HSQE team and assist the team to maintain full engagement in meeting business objectives
12. Develop deep understanding of environmental regulations, sustainability practices, and industry-specific environmental issues.
13. Develop an environmental specialism i.e. waste, water, legal, ecology etc..
14. Ensure full compliance with NR015-L2-ENV-015 and other applicable NR standards
15. Develop/Review Environment and Social Management Plans, Site Waste Management Plans, Incident Response Plans, and all other associated documentation
16. Ensure the requirements of the companies Integrated Management System, including processes, reference materials and forms are cascade and implemented, with regular reviews and updates where necessary.
17. Reviewing environmental management requirements in CPPs and WPPs
18. Prepare consent applications and undertake pre-application consultation as required
19. Providing support and advice to project teams regarding SWMPs so that legal requirements are properly identified and implemented, including duty of care and transfer documentation, and that data is properly recorded

23. Training for personnel with specific environmental responsibilities
24. Undertake site inspections, record and report findings
