Our Team:
The EMEAmodities Data team covers the fullmodity product spectrum including carbon markets. The team is responsible for acquiring and maintaining the full life cycle ofmodities data as well as develop targeted quality improvement and monitoring initiatives to ensure input data is Fit-for-Purpose. Deep domain knowledge, client understanding, and data management expertise are paramount for our ability to continuously deliver high quality data to our rapidly growing client base. Our data coverage includes both pricing and fundamentals content across all product classes.
What's the Role?
The EMEAmodities data team is looking for a highly motivated and drivenmodities Data Team Leader to support our data product strategy and develop the team. You will play a key role in leading individuals with a diverse set of backgrounds ranging from data analysts to data management professionals. You will lead by example in understanding themodity market dynamics and data management practices. Using your experience, market expertise and client understanding, you will help the team in identifying opportunities to expand coverage, ensure quality standards are met and improve discoverability of our content. You will be instrumental in setting themodities data modelling strategy and deliver high quality data using strong project management and leadership skills. In doing so, you'll build a close partnership with Engineering, Core Product, and other various stakeholders.
We'll Trust You To:
1. Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts and data management professionals who are experts in themodities domain;
2. Foster and maintain strong relationships with other data and core business groups, such as Product, Sales, Enterprise, News and Engineering to help develop and improve fit-for-purpose data and functionality across the terminal;
3. Mobilize the team to design and implement proactive data quality management supported by client-focused metrics;
4. Implement a strong content acquisition strategy that is meta data and data quality driven;
5. Develop data modelling and ETL skills within the team to develop a robust dataernance framework and ensure the interoperability of themodity datasets;
6. Stay up to date with market trends and standard processes to be able to proactively spot opportunities for expanding our content coverage;
7. Identify and manage internal processes to find opportunities for improvement, as well as devise and implement new innovative workflow solutions;
8. Effectively project manage and set tangible data product strategy that is goal driven;
9. Manage and mentor the team on large andplex data projects and business initiatives.
You'll need to have:

10. A minimum of 3+ years* of formal leadership experience or strong informal leadership experience, and relevantmodities market knowledge;
11. Strong technical experience and domain expertise to lead and develop a team of data analysts and data management professionals;
12. Demonstrable experience in a data management related role such as data quality, content acquisition and data modelling;
13. Strategic vision to align your team's goals while providing outstanding service to business and other internal/external clients;
14. Experience in driving strategies and managingplex projects;
15. Superb stakeholder management skills to establish strong credibility and influential relationships tomunicate business needs and an operational strategy to internal and external partners;
16. Good understanding of themodity clients' needs and the different use cases;
17. Creative and flexible approach to problem solving as well as leadership ability in change management;
18. Strong knowledge of data processing paradigms and associated tools and technologies;
19. Excellentmunication skills, allowing you to clearlymunicate business needs and to advocate on behalf of your team.
We'd love to see:
20. Experience in semantic technologies, or an understanding of their structures;
21. Understanding of Dataernance and Data Management;
22. Client facing experience or some level of indirect client interaction;
23. Proven ability to build influential relationships with multiple internal and external clients and partners;
24. Strong understanding of the Bloombergmodities data product and terminal functionality;
25. Exposure to the Bloomberg Enterprise data products;
26. Varied project management experience and/or certifications (CAPM, PMP and/or CSM);
27. Experience using data visualization tools such as QlikSense.
