An overview of the role:
In a world of digital transformation, new operating models, and the new normal post the pandemic, organisations are facing major disruptions that require HR to help transform the way they think and act. Our Employee Experience & HR team’s purpose is to help our clients rethink employee experience and establish the digital HR function powered by data whilst leveraging emerging technologies to deliver our client’s shared vision.
In your role you will engage with a range of clients to shape and deliver sustainable business outcomes through a variety of programmes designed to help clients rapidly adapt to and navigate through complex Digital HR Transformations. Partnering with our clients across all industries, you will use your expertise to capture, analyse, and document business processes and requirements, and participate in designing solutions to address business requirements and improve people experience. You will be generating new ideas and conceptual frameworks to help solve problems, provide hands on delivery, and create insightful fact-based findings and recommendations, identifying and delivering on-sell or new sales opportunities. By enabling clients to succeed, you will help Capgemini Invent maintain its position as the market leader in Digital Transformation consulting.

Why this role?
As a Payroll Transformation Director, you’ll play a key role in driving forward the business growth and strategic direction on payroll related capabilities, go-to-market strategy, model our values and behaviours, and coach and develop junior members of the team. You will have a minimum of 7 years of HR and Payroll Transformation experience, or relatable consulting experience, and will help lead the delivery of Payroll Transformation engagements for complex organisations as well as actively participate in business development activities. You will leverage your HR and payroll technology expertise in leading Digital HR initiatives that drive innovation and efficiency, while ensuring an enhanced people experience. You’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their challenging business issues from strategy to execution.
Key expectations of the role include:
1. Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategy for payroll transformation services aligned with the broader Capgemini Invent’s goals
2. Lead, design and deliver payroll transformation programmes with remit across the end solution including systems, processes, services and organisation
3. Act as Engagement Director in payroll or wider HR implementations underpinned by SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) / SAP HCM, Workday Payroll, Oracle Payroll, or other Cloud solutions
4. Lead multiple and complex engagements – concurrent ones at times
5. Manage relationships with the clients, external parties and vendors
6. Lead business development activities and pursue new client opportunities in the HR Transformation space with focus on payroll and related processes
7. Drive financial and commercial sides of client engagements including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
8. Lead and coach EX & HR Transformation team members, supporting personal development and driving team growth, fostering a culture that embraces inclusion and diversity
9. Act as a strategic leader with in-depth understanding of payroll processes and technology, and focus on compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement.
As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:
10. Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
11. Internal contribution – Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
12. Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.
We’d love to meet someone with:
13. Leading HR and Payroll transformations through cloud technologies (SAP HCM / SuccessFactors, Workday, and/or Oracle) and tools enabled by AI/RPA and Machine Learning
14. Leading the development of HR and Payroll service delivery catalogue, service delivery model and strategies articulated through technology deployments
15. Leading the delivery of HR and Payroll functional designs including requirements gathering, gap analysis and process redesign.
16. Leading the design of an HR strategy and holistic health check of the HR and Payroll function
17. Lead the delivery of end-to-end HR Transformation building next gen target operating models for complex organisations including service delivery, process reengineering and organisation design with focus on payroll
18. Lead the design and deployment employee experience strategy through technology (including Moments that Matter, Personas, Employee Journeys)
Or /And, you will have expertise in relatable areas such as:
19. Leading the supporting transformation and change management stream in a HR Cloud solution deployment in large scale organisations
20. Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions
21. Experience of proposition building and delivery
22. Currently working in a major Consulting firm, and/or in industry but having a Consulting background.
