As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will assist under the guidance of the Catering Manager, either individually or as part of a team, in supervising students and maintaining order in the school dining areas and other assigned locations, including outdoor spaces during breaks and lunch. The Person Essential Criteria No experience required; full training provided Communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills Awareness of health and safety issues in a kitchen Ability to work effectively within a team Ability to perform physical tasks frequently, such as lifting catering equipment Self-motivated with good personal and work hygiene Flexible and adaptable to varied tasks Desirable Criteria Minimum of one year's experience in a catering outlet (e.g., shop, deli) Basic food hygiene certificate Ability to communicate well with children and young adults The Role Assist in supervising children to ensure health and safety regulations and school discipline are upheld. Liaise with the Catering Manager regarding all matters related to break and lunchtime supervision. Address minor issues, accidents, or sickness and report any serious incidents to the Catering Manager immediately. Supervise children during breaks and lunchtimes, including managing their movement between dining areas and overseeing queues and seating arrangements. Maintain order among diners and ensure proper conduct during meals. Perform delegated tasks related to operating the cash register. Carry out general dining area duties, including replenishing food and drinks, washing up, clearing equipment, disposing of rubbish, and cleaning the area and its equipment. Implement all relevant school policies and procedures. Complete all necessary administration accurately and promptly using both computerised and manual systems. Accept training provided by the school for higher-level duties and any required training for proper performance of assigned tasks.
