SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

As a primary point of contact for the field staff, your main responsibility will be to organise the daily planning of personnel and equipment within the Operations Division.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a full time, temporary to permanent position to be based at our Teesside office.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
4. Planning : Organise the planning of personnel and equipment; ensure the planning board is kept up to date and changes are made as and when required, abnormal load routing on public highways.
5. Operations : Ensure resources are managed and utilised in the most effective manner.
6. SHEQ : Ensure compliance with SHEQ standards and procedures.
7. Administration : Review timesheets; create purchase orders; complete all other relevant administration tasks to the highest standard in line with internal requirements.
8. Communication : Ensure Operators have the correct information regarding job assignments; build and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues and external suppliers; take out of hours calls on evenings and weekends.
9. Personnel Management : First line management of operators, return to work interviews and deal with day to day operational issues.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Essential:
10. Flexible and willing to be on call on evenings and weekends.
11. Knowledge and understanding of an Integrated Management System.
12. Proficient in ICT in particular Microsoft Office Packages.
13. Good level of English both verbal and written.
14. Positive, can-do attitude able to work as a team player
Desirable:
15. Experience working in a Planning / Coordinator role.
