Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students in small group or one-on-one settings, fostering a positive learning experience. This role is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about education, patient, and committed to helping students overcome challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist teachers in preparing lesson materials and resources.
2. Provide individual and small group support to students across a range of subjects.
3. Help to maintain a supportive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
4. Work with students to build their confidence and help them achieve their academic goals.
5. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.
6. Support students with special educational needs where necessary.
7. Supervise classroom activities and ensure a positive classroom environment.
Requirements:
8. Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children is desirable but not essential.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
10. A passion for working with young people and an ability to build rapport with students.
11. Ability to work well as part of a team.
12. A flexible and positive attitude.
13. Basic knowledge of core subjects (English, Maths, Science).
14. Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification are advantageous.
