About the Role:
As a Food Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that support students in developing their culinary and nutrition knowledge. You’ll create a safe, positive learning environment that encourages creativity and hands-on learning. The ideal candidate will be able to teach food technology at Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in Food Technology
- Inspire and motivate students to develop their skills and interest in food, health, and nutrition
- Maintain a safe and hygienic classroom environment
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best practice
Requirements:
- Must be a Qualified Teacher (QTS or equivalent) – Only qualified teachers will be considered**
- Proven experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for food and nutrition
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
