Hours: Monday - Fri (8:00am - 4:30pm or 9:00am - 5:30pm) - site based. 37.5 hours per week
Salary: 30,000 with opportunity for further career growth
About the Lead Graphic Designer role
Our client is looking for a talented and passionate Creative Graphic Designer to build on the marketing team's success in creating attention grabbing, visually appealing artwork, that makes the client stand apart from the crowd. With a keen eye for the future of design including knowledge of AI, 3D Printing and 3D Scanning.
What duties will be included in the Lead Graphic Designer role?
1. Develop design briefs.
2. Think creatively to produce innovative ideas and concepts and develop interactive design.
3. Find innovative ways to redefine a design brief within time and cost constraints.
4. Present finalised ideas and concepts back to managers and account managers.
5. Proofread to produce accurate high-quality work.
6. Demonstrate illustrative skills with rough sketches and work on layouts and ready for print artwork.
7. Be proficient in studio photography.
8. Work as part of a team.
What will you bring to the Lead Graphic Designer role?
1. Previous experience as a Lead Graphic Designer.
2. BSc degree in Design, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or relevant field.
3. The work demands a creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time costs and deadlines.
4. You should have an in-depth knowledge of graphic design styles and layout techniques.
5. You should have the experience executing marketing projects from conception to production, including website, brochures, and other marketing collateral digitally and for print.
6. Knowledge and keen interest in AI, 3D Printing and 3D Scanning.
7. You should have at least 3+ years' experience in working with DAM and PIM systems.
8. You should have vast knowledge of imagery such as Pixels and DPI, for use in print and digital.
9. Ability to create eye-catching visuals and artwork digitally and for print on a variety of products and activities, including but not limited to:
* Website / webpages
* Advertising for a variety of media formats
* Designing brochures and literature
* Marketing collateral / posters / signage
* Product packaging
* Exhibition stands, banners.
* POS displays
* Corporate communications / presenter materials
* Corporate identity / visual branding
* Film and studio photography
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Passion and enthusiasm for design.
2. Proven work experience in design.
3. Portfolio of completed design projects.
4. Hands-on experience with image editing software, like Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
5. Proficiency in design software (e.g. InDesign / other).
6. Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colours, fonts and layouts.
7. Ability to write high-quality content as required.
8. Attention to visual details.
9. A flexible approach when working with teams.
10. Good presentation skills and the confidence to explain and sell ideas to colleagues.
11. Being open to feedback and willing to make changes to your designs.
12. Time management skills and the ability to cope with several projects at once.
13. Accuracy and attention to detail when finalising designs.
14. Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team.
15. Effective networking skills to build contacts.
