About the role:
Global Accounts Payable Manager
This finance position is one of the key roles within the Financial Control Team managing not only accounts payable day to day operations, but also working closely with budget owners and other stakeholders on making the buying and vendor payments process as smooth as possible.
Zepz are looking for a highly driven Global Accounts Payable Manager reporting into the Procurement and Financial Operations Director. This role will manage:
11. Accounts Payable incl. invoice to pay, travel & expenses, continuous improvement (AP KPIs, end users training & compliance) plus driving controls and balance sheet hygiene for all AP related accounting events;
12. Lead a global AP Team, helping the teams to growth and maintain the proper balance between acting as a AP controls & processes safe guardian and Business Partner focusing on AP related C-SAT. Performance assessment, coaching, training and development of the team members to improve individual and overall team productivity;
13. Ensuring that systems, policies, and procedures adhere to company policies while functioning with accuracy and timeliness. Identifying continuous process improvement opportunities to ensure that systems and processes are best-in-class and operate effectively. Managing key projects such as business integrations, system implementations, audit preparations;
14. Building strong positive relationships with key internal business partners and suppliers. Close collaboration with Procurement Team in line with the common Procure to Pay goals
15. Working closely with Procurement and Financial Controllers and Finance Business Partners ensuring that AP Framework is in full synergy with other key WorldRemit processes and controls.
16. Leading procurement negotiations for new deals and renewal of existing contracts. Most of the purchases are related to external tools and services (mostly from Finance, Technology and Operations area)
17. There are potential progression opportunities, both within the team and wider Finance function;

What you will own:
19. Oversee operations of the global AP Team;
20. Setting up process and controls driven business objectives for the team and making sure, that they have all the support needed in order to achieve those (either through establishing right processes or controls for the team, finding ways to keep the team acting as a business partner with the focus not only on back office accounting activities, but also on C-SAT);
21. Working closely (for both upstream i.e. Procurement, as well as downstream so invoice to pay) with various key stakeholders, like Financial Controllers, Treasury, Finance Business Partners, budget owners to drive the P2P agenda forward, as well as directly addressing those key stakeholders needs;
22. Driving continuous improvement agenda & mindset, improving both quality as well as perception over the function within internal and external stakeholders.
What you bring to the table:
23. Extensive Accounts Payable experience; experience in Procurement would be additional plus
24. Excellent people management skills across different locations
25. Attention to detail, willing to maintain and improve controls within the process
26. Strong knowledge of finance and accounting functions, ideally with relevant qualification
27. Experience working in an international business, working with foreign currency transactions
28. Continuous improvement mindset, seeking for opportunities within the process as well as on the touchpoints surrounding it
29. Excellent communications skills, ability to interact well with senior management team and Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships across functions and regions
30. Technology/IT skills: Strong all round knowledge of accounting ERPs and MS/GoogleSuite tools. Oracle Netsuite ERP products as an additional plus
