English Teaching Assistant
Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a full-time English Teaching Assistant to start working with us immediately for the rest of the academic year. The role can start after the Christmas Holidays in January, however any applicants with sooner availability are encouraged to apply as the role ideally needs filling as soon as possible.
Our client secondary school is based in Old Trafford, in Stretford, so is very easily accessible via public transport, but also has a large onsite car park for any members of staff in school.

The role itself will involve supporting teachers in the English department. Ideally the successful candidate will be outgoing and able to connect with students from a variety of backgrounds. It is important that applicants also have great subject knowledge and can be patient to work with pupils facing language barriers, who need extra encouragement to match the level of their peers.
Additional responsibilities:
- Work closely with the English department to identify which pupils may benefit from additional support
- Clear communication skills and ability to work with pupils whose first language is not English
- Desirable but by no means essential, however it would be beneficial if applicants have an additional language such as Arabic or Urdu

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
