Our Property Maintenance team is seeking Multi-skilled Carpenters with glazing experience to help continue the delivery of the best possible repairs service to our customers. As a key member of our maintenance team you will be part of the delivery of responsive repairs works to our housing stock and corporate buildings.
Your next role
As a highly skilled individual you will be able to assess problems, identify the work required and decide the appropriate measures to correct faults without delays. Your analytical and judgmental skills will be crucial to this position. You’ll also need to be able to work to tight deadlines and work in a clean, tidy and proficient manner. You should have additional skills which compliment your trade.
We expect you to maintain the highest level in customer care. With an acute awareness of Health and Safety, you will endeavour to complete your duties with efficiency. In return, you will be rewarded with training for skill advancement and excellent prospects within the organisation.
You must have a minimum qualification NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship or equivalent. Your sound working experience in domestic maintenance and detailed knowledge of the building crafts will be utilised within this role.
Preferably you will have experience of working within social housing and you will be able to demonstrate technical knowledge and customer service skills. We are happy to provide training for the right candidate to help them develop into the role.
Candidates must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act – for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).
A full driving license is required for this position.
Please note this role is 37 hours per week and you will be required to have flexibility to cover the core hours of the business between 6am and 10pm. We would welcome the opportunity to discuss this at interview.
