NATIONAL ADVERTISING MANAGER - UK Job description At Harvey Norman all our advertising is planned and developed in house, from media buying and negotiation, to concept, creation and production. We have an incredibly exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced advertising professional with strong retail marketing experience and a desire to lead a global brand in the UK market to join our team as UK National Advertising Manager. ABOUT THE JOB Reporting to our CEO the UK National Advertising Manager you will lead the company’s advertising strategy, leveraging traditional media to drive brand awareness and digital platforms to maximize conversions. The role requires strategic planning, creative execution, media buying expertise, and fostering strong media partnerships to achieve company goals. Key Responsibilities Strategy and Planning · Wok with our CEO and global teams in developing and executing an integrated advertising strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives. · Use traditional media channels (e.g., TV, radio, print, and out-of-home) to enhance brand awareness and reach. · Leverage digital media (e.g., search, social, display, and programmatic advertising) to drive customer engagement and conversion. · Analyse market trends and consumer insights to inform advertising campaigns. Campaign Management · Conceptualize, create, and manage advertising campaigns across all relevant media channels working with our brand teams in Ireland and Australia. · Oversee the end-to-end process of media buying, from negotiation to placement and tracking performance. · Collaborate with creative teams to ensure messaging is consistent, compelling, and tailored to target audiences. Media Partnerships · Build and maintain strong relationships with media partners to maximize value and negotiate favourable terms for the brands. · Explore and secure innovative media partnerships that enhance brand visibility and engagement. · Represent the company at media-related events and networking opportunities to foster collaboration. Budget Management · Manage the advertising budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources. · Monitor and report on budget performance, optimizing spends for maximum ROI. Performance Analysis · Define KPIs for campaigns and track performance across traditional and digital channels. · Prepare regular reports with insights, recommendations, and data-driven strategies for future campaigns. · Use analytics tools and platforms to assess campaign effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Team Collaboration · Work closely with internal teams, including product and marketing managers, general managers and store teams to ensure advertising efforts align with broader business goals. · Coordinate with regional teams to localize national campaigns for greater impact. · Guide and mentor junior team members or external collaborators when needed. Qualifications Required · Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field. · 3 years of experience in advertising, media planning, or a related role, ideally with a retail brand. · Strong knowledge of traditional and digital media landscapes, including local trends and best practices. · Proven track record in developing and managing large-scale advertising campaigns. · Demonstrable experience in media buying, negotiation, and partnership building. Preferred · Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, or similar platforms). · Retail marketing experience. · Strong understanding of consumer behaviour and audience segmentation. Skills Strong knowledge of media production for TV, Radio, Print and Digital. · Strategic thinking with a focus on results and ROI. · Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. · Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously. · Proficient in analytics and performance tracking. · Creative mindset with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
