The Role
Corporate Law - Legal Secretary - Up to £34,000 salary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and motivated Legal Secretary to support the Corporate team in Leeds.
This reputable Legal 500 firm is highly regarded, often acting on a range of complex issues for an array of businesses and individuals. This role is ideal for a Legal Secretary looking for an opportunity to take ownership of their work while contributing to a high-performing team.
The successful candidate will provide essential administrative and secretarial assistance to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the department.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate with fee earners to manage and prioritise workloads effectively
* Accurately produce a variety of documents, including both copy and audio typing
* Manage diaries, scheduling meetings, and keeping track of fee earners' commitments
* Handle incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence with a high level of professionalism
* Communicate directly with clients, taking instructions and maintaining comprehensive client records
* Assist with billing and the preparation of legal documents, following established precedents
* Prepare legal forms, ensuring all deadlines are met and time is recorded efficiently
* Open and manage new client files, ensuring full compliance with anti-money laundering regulations
* Maintain an organised and efficient filing system for fast and accurate information retrieval
