Scheme Manager

37 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
4-month contract
Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Scheme Manager to join their Housing Management team. The role involves supporting tenants in sheltered housing schemes, ensuring their safety and independence, and coordinating with various support services. You will oversee health and safety, manage communal areas, and promote an inclusive and active community environment.
Scheme Manager Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide support to tenants, promoting independent living and ensuring their well-being.
2. Coordinate services with external agencies, carers, and relatives.
3. Oversee health and safety checks, emergency alarm testing, and manage communal repairs.
4. Organize social events and activities, encouraging tenant participation.
5. Maintain records, including support plans, risk assessments, and emergency details.
6. Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as required.
7. Promote the council's housing services and support tenant engagement.
About You:
8. Experience in housing management or a similar support role.
9. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with tenants and external partners.
10. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record-keeping and safety checks.
11. Compassionate and proactive, with a commitment to promoting tenant well-being and independence.
12. Qualifications and Experience:
13. Previous experience in a Scheme manager role.
14. Enhanced DBS certification for working with adults and children.
15. Strong organizational and communication skills.
16. Ability to work independently and engage in lone working situations.
