Prospero teaching is currently seeking School librarian to start working in a good Ofsted rated secondary school starting in September 2024 on a full time basis.
The school is easily accessible if you drive or take public transport as the school is right next to the A406 (great if you are travelling from West London) and with Brent Cross station being only a 10 minute walk away..
WHAT DOES THE SCHOOL LIBRARIAN ROLE INVOLVE:
The role of a librarian is to be responsible for the day-to-day running of the school’s library or resource centre. You will be a passionate reader and lead on a We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will help with the running of the school libraries by assisting library users, supervising students, replacing stock on the shelves and using the school computer system to maintain and control the circulation of the library stock.
As part of the SCHOOL LIBRARIAN you will also be required to:
1. deliver Morning Reading Programme
2. Update catalogue
3. Carry our training and quality assurance
4. Communicate with and lead a large team of Morning Reading teachers
5. Supervise the library as a social area during break and lunch, with support from staff on duty.
6. Assist with the organisation of the literary festival.
WHAT SUPPORT WILL I BE GIVEN AS A SCHOOL LIBRARIAN?
As a new member of staff, you will be given an induction by Prospero Teaching as well as the school and allocated a line manager at the school.
School librarian hours and pay:
Full-time school hours, 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
The role is paid weekly and is at a daily rate of £110 per day.
