The Network & Acquiring Solutions team (NAS) is the heart of the American Express Enterprise, powering billions of transactions through the global payments processing network that we develop and manage. NAS is unique within the Enterprise. We work across almost every American Express business unit as well as external partners, providers, and key industry stakeholders. We are known to be intellectually curious and problem solvers as we tackle the most imperative initiatives facing the payments industry today, such as securing online transactions and enabling faster, more convenient ways to pay.
The Network Delivery team within NAS works to deliver a full scale modernized Network including new digital products such as Debit, Account to Account Payments, QR, Tokenization and Local Network solutions to meet the evolving demands of global payment networks and adapt to local needs while ensuring continued global interoperability. This enables the Enterprise to attract new customers, operate in new markets, react to changing regulatory demands, and process new types of payments. A role in the Network Delivery team will challenge you to broaden your skillset and industry acumen in a collaborative, diverse and inclusive team environment.
The Sr. Associate, Digital Solution Design – Envisioning role is part of the Network Delivery Intake & Envisioning team. The role will focus on supporting a team of Senior Envisioning Managers lead the Envisioning efforts for the Enterprise Payments Centre of Excellence priorities, working across Business and Technology teams to interpret business requirements into Agile Features for scrum teams to build and then implement. This requires breaking down the business requirement/business problem into what drives business value, identifying opportunities for transformation, assessing alternative solutions (particularly industry research), and clearly defining how the final deliverable meets the customer need and fits within the transaction processing lifecycle. The success of the role will depend upon the individual’s ability to analyse complex problems, build strong relationships, gather high quality business requirements and focus on what delivers business value.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Support Senior Envisioning Managers leading the envisioning efforts for the Enterprise Payments Centre of Excellence
2. Collaborate with business partners to understand and document business requirements, clarify development scope and associated business value, as well as dependencies
3. Analyse and document business processes and customer journeys
4. Support Senior Envisioning Managers to develop presentations materials for colleagues and Senior Leadership
5. Develop a technical understanding of the technical ecosystems supporting the Enterprise Payments Centre of Excellence
Required Qualifications:
6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to clearly articulate complexities
7. Experience eliciting, articulating and documenting business requirements
8. Strong verbal and written communication skills
9. Strong collaboration skills – ability to navigate cross functional teams to deliver on shared objectives
10. High intellectual curiosity, with excellent creative and critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
11. Driving results and collaborating in a cross-functional and global environment
12. Flexibility in supporting various time zones, as this role supports global initiatives

Preferred Qualifications but not essential:
14. Expertise in Account-to-Account Payments, Authorization, Clearing & Settlement, ATM, Tokenization and Payment processing
