Due to the current order book of our clients business, they are now recruiting for an Engineering Maintenance Manager to join their team in the Halewood / Speke area on a 12 Month FTC with the potential to progress to permanent.
This role offers the opportunity to work for a true independent market leader and established global brand. Role Description
1. Provide managerial support for engineering and maintenance teams
2. Manage, coach, and train the Manufacturing Engineering & Maintenance teams
3. Project management all aspects of Maintenance & Engineering projects – planning the workload for major projects across production shutdown periods
4. Lead cross functional product launches, on time and within budget
5. Prepare RFQ’s, contract review, and risk management
6. Support continuous improvement activities and projects
7. Liaise with and manage contractors – overseeing work and rectifying any deficiencies.
8. Successful co-ordination of running changes
9. Ensure adherence to Project Management Systems
10. Manage plant interface in support of Program targets
11. Maintain credibility with the customer and balance of customer relationship
12. Ensure Engineering and Maintenance KPI’s are up to date
13. Clearly identify and follow up issues requiring management intervention, owning the resolution to off-standards.
14. Ensure on-target continuity of current engineering and project deliverables
15. Lead engineering change customer quotation for Engineering function
16. Ensure IATF compliance
17. Develop service plans for major plant that are time and cost effective
18. Manage and support the development of Engineering and Maintenance budgets
19. Manage maintenance teams, identifying recurring and common faults – driving corrective actions.
Skills and Qualifications
20. Multi-skilled Engineer, HND / degree level is advantageous
21. Experience within a high volume, highly regulated manufacturing environment.
22. Excellent organisational and communicational skills
23. Experienced in managing and delivering significant CAPEX projects.
24. Experienced in working in a highly pressured and demand focused organisation, making confident decisions under pressure.
25. Competent in Microsoft Office
26. Able to liaise professionally with all levels within and outside the Company
27. Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements – Health & Safety, LOTO, PUWER
28. Experience working within a JIT / Lean manufacturing environment
29. Working knowledge of MES, DC tooling, EOL electrical test and Vision systems is advantageous
