Social Worker - Full-Time, Permanent | £45,000 - £48,000 per annum
Our client, a well-established Family Assessment Centre in Hendon, London, is seeking an experienced and passionate Social Worker to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and compassionate individual to make a real difference in the lives of children and families.
Role Overview: The successful candidate will work closely with children, families, and multi-agency teams to improve family outcomes, focusing on safeguarding children and empowering families to thrive independently. Key Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with families, children, and other professionals to develop and implement tailored support plans.
Manage complex court cases involving child protection investigations.
Coordinate and chair meetings, produce concise reports, and engage effectively with children and their families.
Ensure all interventions prioritize child welfare and family support, making decisions in line with statutory guidelines.
Promote a safe and positive environment that upholds the values of social care.
Requirements:
Social Work qualification and HCPC registration with at least 2 years of experience.
Proven experience managing complex children and family cases, particularly in court proceedings and child protection.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding principles and children's social care theory, legislation, and practices.
Excellent report writing and communication skills.
Ability to make sound decisions based on analysis and professional judgment.
Flexibility in working hours to meet operational demands, including emergencies.
A valid DBS check and UK work authorization.
Must be able to safely transport children and families when required.
