Class Teacher Needed
We work closely with a Primary School in Cheltenham who are looking for a Class Teacher to join them for the whole of the next academic year. One of their Year 6 Teachers is going to be on maternity leave for the year and so they need someone to cover this class. This role will be working Tuesday to Friday doing the hours of 8.30-3.30, but there will also be some additional hours on Monday to be utilised for PPA/ECT time. This role will begin in September and run through to July 2025.
The school is a lovely school and has most recently been rated as ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted. Therefore the right person for the role will be willing to commit to ensuring a high level of education is provided for students. They will strive to uphold the values the school stands for, and be hard-working and committed to the role. Due to the nature of the role, all relevant teaching qualifications are essential for this.
What will you do on a daily basis?
* Display creative ideas to plan and deliver engaging learning within our bespoke EARLY and DEEP curriculum.
• Support relational practice and strive to develop respectful relationships with all stakeholders.
• Have a potential specialism in one or more foundation subject (particularly in computing, DT and/or Music) to teach across year groups to accommodate our specialist teaching programme that ensures our pupils received the highest quality teaching from experts in their field.
• Have an astute ability to adapt to the needs of pupils with SEN and EAL
What are the School's values and ethos?
“Pupils benefit from a very broad curriculum that is based around providing real experiences and is enhanced by a wide range of trips and visits. By rooting learning in exciting and relevant experiences, pupils are able to understand better and produce higher-quality work. The current theme of ‘walls and bridges’ has enabled pupils to consider how we build societies and what happens when we create barriers".
