Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant
Prospero Teaching are on the hunt for an ambitious Psychology Graduate looking to work as Teaching Assistant in a SEND Secondary School inTrafford.
The role is more specifically working with groups of pupils with varying learning ability and special educational needs. The schools are committed to pupil and teacher development, with track records of supporting graduates through teacher training applications. This opportunity is not to be missed for someone looking to kick-start their career in Education Psychology or a PGCE in the future.
Position Details:
1. Location – Trafford
2. Position – Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant
3. Contract or position start date – ASAP
4. Duration / Likely Duration – Continuation throughout 2024/25.
5. Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) – Temp to perm
6. Full time/part time – Full time
7. Rate of pay – £97-£120 per day
8. Hours – 8:30 am – 4pm : Mon – Fri (term time only)
Responsibilities:
9. Working with and providing support to young pupils with SEN (Special Educational Needs)
10. Experience of supporting pupils
11. The willingness to provide an environment in which pupils can reach their full potential
12. The ability to build rapports with the students, supporting their social and behavioural needs, and acting as a mentor
Role Requirements:
13. Psychology (BA Hons) degree
14. DBS (clean and relevant) – Can be obtained through Prospero Teaching
15. Safeguarding certificate
16. A committed and enthusiastic attitude to work
17. Excellent communication skills and the ability to form new relationships
Desirable:
18. Good knowledge of different forms of SEN.
