The role
As a Senior Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist – Clean Energy you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. From decommissioning redundant nuclear facilities, through supporting the Continuous at Sea Deterrent, to supporting the operation and build of nuclear power plants, our role in Cavendish Nuclear is to clean up the nuclear legacy and create a world where nuclear plays a key contribution in protecting our nation, ensuring security of energy supply and meeting our net zero commitments.
Day to day, you’ll report to the Head of Procurement & Supply Chain – Bids & Clean Energy and will work with key stakeholders, and suppliers to drive both strategic value and operational excellence through all levels of the business.
You will also:
1. Have a strong focus on delivering high performance both with a team and the supply chain.
2. Develop and execute (Project and Bid) Procurement strategies that meet the business needs in terms of safety, cost, schedule and quality.
3. Lead Cross Functional Team to ensure procurement deliverables are met in line with cost, quality and programme requirements throughout
4. Leading the development and execution of (project and bid) procurement strategies.
5. Developing relationships (new & existing) with key stakeholders ensuring alignment of objectives and mutual setting of goals.
6. Accountable for the development of a robust supply chain that supports the delivery of both the functional and business objectives.
7. Enhance and utilise sourcing and tendering processes that meet and exceed project / programme deliverables.
This role is full time / part time + 37 weekly hours. The role is adaptable and can be based at various sites, including Leicester OR Bristol with hybrid working from home arrangements. There is a requirement to travel to as part of the role.
Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. Essential experience of the Senior Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist – Clean Energy:
8. High performance attributes known and understood for both a team and the supply chain, and actions implemented to deliver within an agreed time frame.
9. Stakeholder mapping completed and communication plans in place delivering collaborative relationships.
10. Procurement strategies that reflect the business needs are in place and are closely aligned and co-ordinated across the business.
11. Pro-actively managed early P&SC engagement in all aspects of project and Cavendish strategies/projects.
12. Early bid engagement is established and is business as usual, developing fit for purpose and commercial attractive sourcing solutions.
13. Supply chain designed to support project delivery and bid development.
Qualifications for the Senior Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist – Clean Energy:
