We are always looking for creative, bright, hard-working individuals to join the Potts team. We are currently looking for a Large Format Operative to join our Operations Division. Applicants must be able to work alone or as part of a team as we manage a variety of projects for our client base. The environment is fast paced and can be time critical, as we look to ensure delivery on time and in full, whilst maintaining high levels of quality. Previous experience within Large Format operation is preferred although not essential. Daily duties will include: Set up and operation of a variety of print finishing equipment. This would include processes such as loading and monitoring CNC cutting beds and roll printers, as well as other hand finishing tasks. Experience operating the following machinery (or equivalent) would be desirable: - CNC Cutting Tables (DYSS, Kongsberg, Zund etc) Wide Format Roll Printers Laminators, Summa Kiss Cutters, Finishing Equipment Use hand tools to adjust machine settings as needed. Monitor machine operation to ensure quality of finished products. Inspect finished items for accuracy and conformity to specifications Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the finishing process. Demonstrate a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Liaise and work with other members of the Large Format, Production and Despatch teams Communicate any questions with all team members and escalate to management when required Ability to be able to provide advice and/or solutions where necessary to maintain deadlines Complete relevant in process Quality Control checks Awareness and adherence to the Company’s Quality, Health and Safety, Hygiene and Environmental Policies and Procedures to maintain and safe work environment. Requirements: Working knowledge of Print, Print Finishing or similar transferable skills Basic computer literacy (Windows and/or Mac) Ability to follow instruction in written form from a job ticket, but also verbally Complying with onsite Health & Safety rules Ability to work alone and as part of a team. Attention to detail. Willingness to learn will be essential for this role Working hours 40 hours per week working on a shift basis between Monday – Friday (day shift) Salary Competitive Salary - based upon experience
