Position: Quality and Environmental Coordinator Reports to: Quality and Environmental Manager Role Overview: Assist with the compliance systems and processes over our Tallington site. Reporting to the Quality and Environmental Manager the successful candidate will promote quality achievement and improvement throughout the organisation. The candidate will be responsible for: Key Accountabilities: Assist with compliance systems and processes, development to ISO 9001 quality, ISO 14001 environmental standards, and other compliance obligations on site for continue improvement. Ensure customer complaints are handled with a thorough investigation process and identify key trends with assistance from operations team and the Quality and Environmental manager. Ensure non- conformance are handled with a thorough investigation process and identify key trends with the assistance from operations teams and the Quality Environmental Manager. Conduct internal audits as per audit schedule, raising corrective action request and following up until closure. Document control and management – creating, storing, organising, tracking and distribution of key documents to be always readily available. Regular in-process inspections on the shop floor ensure product specifications, drawings and work instructions are being closely followed. Work across group as the quality for cross functional teams towards business goals and objectives. Communicate quality & environmental information to relevant departments in the form of monthly reporting. Prepare and attend external audits such as ISO & customer. Work with wider departments such as engineering, operations, and other group quality and environmental personnel in the development and maintenance of products, materials specifications, work forms & instructions procedures. Management of calibration system for the accurate measurement error in industrial settings. Present and provide training and awareness of QE information to relevant departments. Associated Responsibilities: Assist with compliance with standards and legislation. Assist with energy legislative requirements and assist in monitoring energy consumption at site. Assistance with waste management and control. Ensure packaging data collation and reporting. Ensuring compliance to environmental spill control systems and monitoring. Admin and maintenance of the environmental logbook. Collection and reporting of monthly environmental performance for site and annual sustainability data. Assistance in development of carbon action plan All other duties as required by the Quality and Environmental Manager. Experience and Training: High level IT skills including proficiency in full MS Office suite, Excel, Word, Outlook, Access. Must be proficient in generating written procedures and works instructions. Experience in internal auditing to ISO systems is desirable. CO2/carbon management knowledge and experience is desirable. Annual sustainability reporting knowledge is desirable. Essential Criteria: Candidates must have training and education to ISO standards, particularly ISO 9001:2015 quality management and ideally ISO 14001 environmental management. Candidate must have 2 years ‘experience working within a busy manufacturing environment. Education at a 3rd level, or equivalent, in an engineering discipline or similar is desirable (business management, manufacturing, management systems).
