The Group Managing Director is interactive with all companies and responsible for overseeing senior level management across the Group to support growth and opportunities. The role will be primarily based in Burnham on Sea, Somerset.
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Residential Property Manager that understands the demands within the industry and is proactive with the ever-changing legislations. The candidate will work closely with the Managing Director in an Executive assistant role. The job will involve collaborating with all companies, depending on the week-by-week requirements, to ensure all company targets and service levels are met. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to be actively busy, have job satisfaction, are well organised, confident with people, whether face-to-face or over the phone, can demonstrate leadership skills and are not afraid to get involved in any form of job should an issue arise, i.e. a maintenance issue requires organising, arranging a meeting, a sales demonstration, to taking meeting minutes.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with Managing Director to ensure we are hitting our growth targets.
* Ensure all departments are working efficiently with regular communication with senior staff.
* Have a clear understanding of all businesses within the Group and support the Managing Director in case a department requires support.
* Arrange and organise the Managing Director’s diary with higher level client meetings.
* Oversee projects and deadlines for staff to ensure targets are met in the Managing Director’s absence.
* Hold senior staff meetings and assist on Managing Director's behalf.
* Ensure client service targets are met and ensure any problems/issues are dealt with correctly and promptly.
* Oversee projects, such as continuity plans, Cyber Security Risk Assessments, IT Policies, etc.
* Organise staff meetings.
* Handle property maintenance and repairs by delegating contractors and ensuring everything remains well-conditioned.
* Create and conduct strategies on social media.
* If an issue occurs, coordinate with contractors to quickly resolve any maintenance issues.
* From time to time complete thorough check-in, midterm and check-out inspections with detailed reports, including photos, to document property conditions.
Requirements
* A confident, punctual person who wants to grow with the company.
* A good understanding of the UK rental market and what tenants expect.
* Effective communication skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and build good relationships with clients.
* Ability to manage staff, and delegate tasks.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* IT skills and property management software experience are encouraged.
* Knowledge of UK rental laws, tenant rights, and health and safety standards.
* Experience in property management or a similar role is helpful.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to manage documents and communicate effectively.
