Operating across a wide range of sectors including Leisure, Housing, Industrial, Commercial, Retail, and Education, they offer a professional approach throughout every phase of the project, from design and pre-construction to construction and aftercare.
Due to sustained growth, they are recruiting for an Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the production of tenders, budget estimates and cost plans.
2. Review of bid documents, drawings, specifications, and other reports applying a good understanding of all components of a tender submission.
3. Identify any financial, design, production, and contractual risks/opportunities.
4. Measure quantities and produce Bills of Quantities and/or oversee their production by others.
5. Ensure enquiries are issued and quotations received from subcontractors and suppliers.
6. Write and manage the tender costing process for the project.
7. Analyse tender returns and make recommendations for the appointment of main/sub-contractors and specialist suppliers.
8. Set up and manage cost reports.
9. Assist in the procurement of direct supply items.
10. Carry out monthly valuations.
11. Liaise with all stakeholders to control project costs.
