The Role
As an Environmental Coordinator, you’ll have a role that is out of the ordinary. This is a developmental role where you will be trained to become an Environmental Lead.
Day-to-day, you’ll be involved in various activities to build skills, knowledge, and experience. A mentor from the UK Safety Team will support you until you have completed your development plan and gained adequate experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Leading by example, championing best practices, and encouraging others to demonstrate appropriate leadership behaviours to promote a positive culture in line with our business standards and expectations for safety and environment
2. Supporting improvement projects as required including incident reporting, waste performance reporting, Integrated Management System, producing performance data reports, and trend analysis work
3. Where applicable (depending on experience), deputising and providing support to the wider environmental team within UK Safety
4. Depending on knowledge and skill, you may be assigned sites to work with in partnership with the Head of Site and Site Compliance Lead to provide competent and professional environmental advice to operational and delivery teams
5. Supporting a practical implementation and delivery of environmental legislation, policy, strategy, and objectives; applying high professional standards through building strong professional internal networks
This role is 37 hours per week and can be based at any of our main UK sites. Hybrid working patterns available.
