About the role:
We have a great opportunity for a Graduate Process Engineer. As Graduate Process Engineer you will report into the Process Engineering Manager and provide project engineering support to the Technical Projects group within TFE, PTFE and ETFE plants, in-line with business requirements to improve SHE and operational performance, reduce the operational cost base, improve product quality and assist with development of new products and processes.
Day-to-day duties will include but not limited to:
* Provide technical engineering/problem solving support for smaller scale technological improvements within the business to improve safety, health and environment, output, efficiency, product quality and consistency
* To provide support for the planning and management of smaller projects from design through to plant handover, as directed by the Process Engineering Manager, ensuring projects are on-time and in specification
* Manage contractors involved in process improvement activities
* Investigate, troubleshoot and debottleneck plant operational problems
* To support the Process Engineering Manager and Head of Process Design and Projects, as required
* Apply the highest level of SHE management in all activities and guide the team to ensure compliance
Skills, experience, knowledge and qualifications required:
* Chemical Engineering degree
* Understanding of PTFE, ETFE and TFE manufacturing process and operations UK SHE legislation
* ISO 14001 and ISO 9001
* Working towards the attainment of Chartership
* Hazard and operability studymethodology Problem solving skills
* Communication –able to work at all levels
* Team worker– also able to work independently and own initiative Concern for detail and standards
* Project management Process Engineering
* Excellent IT skills, able to analyse and manipulate data and write reports Able to prioritise and work to deadlines
* Chemical/plastic manufacturing environment preferred Plant optimisation/Process Improvement
