Quality Coordinator / Food / Kent £30-32k As Quality Coordinator you will assist the Technical Manager in maintaining food safety, quality, and hygiene practices across the UK business. Provide competent and efficient support to both technical and interdepartmental functions. Ensure safety, quality, and legality of product and practices across the UK Business. Provide the site technical team with information about adherence to compliance against required standards. Identify and communicate deviations from standards using audits and inspections of premises, practices, processes, raw materials, and finished products. Main Responsibilities Completion of technical information for internal and external reports. Administration of various databases. Ensure information is generated and logged in a timely and detail-oriented manner. Inspect and assess raw materials and finished products against the specification. Contribute to customer complaints investigations. Audit site production and technical traceability and CCP paperwork, ensuring high standards and assured traceability. Support generation of quality statements (i.e., Certificates of Analysis). Calibrate measuring equipment (e.g., probes and scales) periodically. Step up and cover in the absence of the Technical Coordinator. Complete GMP Audits and contribute to site standards improvement. Complete Fabrication and Glass and brittle material Audits. Collect, store, assess, and maintain the production and raw material samples database by collecting samples on delivery, assessing them against specification, and maintaining stock for potential issues. Collect and prepare samples for laboratory testing. Inform relevant parties when stock of required consumables is low. Complete allergen rapid testing and arrange for allergen samples and swabs to be sent to the lab. Conduct Environmental control testing via environmental swabs and samples. Organise retention library samples and ensure cleanliness of the sample area. Complete internal audits, including Glass, Packaging, and Critical Control Points. Log laboratory samples for microbiological, nutritional, pesticide, heavy metal, and shelf-life analysis, and inform relevant personnel when limits are exceeded. Ensure QMS documentation is relevant and suggest improvements where needed. Conduct daily taste panels, record results, and share findings with the wider teams. Prepare samples for customers and other departments as required. Assist with other projects or tasks to ensure best-in-class standards are implemented. Qualifications and Experience Minimum Food Safety Level 3 and HACCP Level 2 training. Minimum of 3 years' experience in the Food Manufacturing Industry (preferred). Proficiency in MS Office. Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Understanding of microbiology and hazards. Flexibility and reliability.
