2. Salary: £34,690 – £44,409 per annum for qualified teachers (Depending on experience) OR £31,130 – 32,482 per annum for unqualified teachers

College maths lecturer – the role:
16. Start: September 2024
17. Permanent contract
18. Full-time
19. Responsible to assistant director
20. To plan and deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment on a range of courses in an appropriate area of the curriculum in line with college standards and meet awarding body expectations
21. To implement curriculum and course development and curriculum delivery within the area of work
22. To develop schemes of learning and work (SOLW) /materials in line with course aims, objectives, mode of assessment and accreditation
23. To contribute effectively to teamwork in course delivery across programmes as necessary, including group tutorials for those on study programmes
24. To work within the course team to review the course and participate in the College quality assurance cycle and to complete course reviews and action plans
25. To attend regular course team meetings and to offer and provide support to team members
26. To be involved with course moderation/verification of assessed work
Candidate specification – what the college are looking for:
27. UK QTS
28. NQTs are welcome to apply
29. 2:1 or 1st class degree, in a relevant course
30. Strong academic background
31. Good to outstanding teacher observation grades
32. Strong classroom management
33. Comprehensive understanding of the A-Level maths curriculum
34. Strong experience of delivering to 16+ age group with varied abilities in an educational setting
35. Knowledge and experience of quality assurance, qualifications and risk assessments
36. Familiar with safeguarding and relevant procedures
37. Passionate about the learning and skills agenda
38. Accountable and Responsible
39. Able to build and sustain effective working relationships
40. Excellent communications skills with people at all levels
