Do you want to make a positive difference to young people and their local communities? Then why don’t you become a Youth Worker at one of our amazing youth centres and start making a difference now.
The Early Help Youth & Community Service in Redcar & Cleveland is looking for people like you to directly deliver inspiring, creative, and inclusive youth activities that make positive impacts on young people’s lives through the ‘Power of Youth Work’.
We are looking to recruit both experienced and inexperienced youth workers who are passionate about youth for our open access youth sessions, to build up our experienced existing teams and for our targeted youth sessions such as our children with disabilities youth projects.
Can you work as part of a youth work team engaging and working with young people in youth centres? Can you use your own initiative and experience to develop a range of activities that are not only fun but exciting, dynamic, and focused on young people? Do you think you have what it takes to engage and encourage teenagers to navigate through some of their worries, challenges, and pressures around issues such as drugs, anti-social behaviour, and low self-esteem?
Each post available will be 2.5 hrs and will range from level 1 to level 3 depending on skills and experience. Youth group sessions are delivered term time only in locations across Redcar and Cleveland. Additional hours may be available during school holidays.
If you feel you have the skills, confidence, patience, and empathy to support young people from the quiet and vulnerable to the bold and argumentative, then this might be the role for you.
Start a new challenge and jump on the rollercoaster of youth work where every day is different and a chance to help positively change a young person’s life.
For an informal discussion, please contact Hellen Higgs at 07909 906371 or Terry Colley at 07825 228053. Applications will be processed as and when submitted; once all positions have been filled, this vacancy will close.
