Role Overview: We are looking for a passionate Ruby Engineer with a solid understanding of the Rails framework and its surrounding ecosystem. The successful candidate will join a friendly, mixed-discipline team of designers, engineers, and product managers to develop various software products and platforms for our client. This role is perfect for someone who values teamwork as much as technology and is eager to work with a diverse tech stack beyond their core Ruby on Rails skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate within an agile team to deliver product-focused functionality in large-scale RoR SaaS products.
2. Make tactical decisions aligned with the long-term vision of the client and the business.
3. Plan and implement cloud architecture and services.
4. Review code and strive to improve code quality.
5. Stay updated with new technologies and solutions.
6. Mentor and up skill junior engineers.
Requirements:
7. Commercial experience with the RoR framework, or equivalent experience with frameworks like Django or Phoenix and a willingness to learn Ruby on Rails.
8. Experience in designing, building, and maintaining large software systems.
9. Good understanding of CI/CD principles.
10. Ability to explain technical issues clearly to key stakeholders.
11. Solid understanding of OO principles, software design patterns, and anti-patterns.
12. Commercial experience with major cloud providers such as AWS or GCP.
