Job Description
Due to an exciting expansion of our Mobile Development team, we're hiring multiple Mobile and QA Engineers across iOS and Android to join our team.
The Web & Apps department is at the heart of ASOS Technology; our goal is to create the ultimate customer experience through inspiration, engagement and excitement for the fashion industry. We achieve our objectives using the latest technologies at scale to surpass our customers' expectations.
Are you an iOS Engineer who takes pride in the success of the applications you work on? Do you enjoy seeing your apps featured with fantastic ratings on the App Store, but strive to keep pushing for more? We are looking for an iOS Engineer to join our Customer Experience team who can help further the success of our iPhone and iPad app. The app has more than 8M active users worldwide, an average app store review of 5 stars, is written in the latest version of Swift, and has over 99.91% crash-free sessions.
What you'll be doing
1. Deliver top quality projects made using best practices and guidelines
2. Work with our design team to implement clean design that respects the platform
3. Take a proactive and hands-on approach in all features and tasks
Qualifications
Who we'd like to meet
1. You are a passionate iOS Engineer
2. You have the desire to learn all the latest techniques and new language and IDE releases
3. You might build mobile apps in your spare time or take part in hackathons as a way of gaining more knowledge and experience, and regularly keep up with the latest developments and trends in the community
4. Coding knowledge with Swift 5 and the foundational iOS frameworks is recommended
5. Strong coding knowledge using Xcode, IB and Auto Layout to create advanced UIs
6. Deep knowledge of Apple's HIG, design best practices, coding and naming guidelines
7. Good knowledge of software design patterns and software architecture principles.
8. Hands-on knowledge in building universal apps that support different layouts for iPhone and iPad
9. Love for clean, modular, usable user interfaces built using a modern design system
10. Regularly write unit tests
11. Have hands-on exposure with UI test automation using Apple's XCTest framework
12. Knowledge in consuming REST APIs
