VANRATH are delighted to be assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation with the recruitment of a Category Manager to join their team based in Belfast .
Hybrid working available.
Salary £45,000 - £55,000
Responsibilities:
1. Planning and allocation of work to staff and development of a procurement workload plan.
2. Contract management - develop contract management and supplier relationship management strategies as integral aspects of procurement activity across all contracts.
3. Proactively manage and monitor supplier performance.
4. Progressing tender competitions in line with procurement policies/guidance.
5. Assist with the movement of procurement information into the TRIM records management system.
6. Ensuring use of eTendersNI for procurement.
7. Liaising with Procurement professionals internally and externally.
Criteria:
8. A relevant Professional Qualification, such as full membership of CIPS and at least two years' relevant experience working in a procurement and/or purchasing environment.
9. Demonstrable knowledge of e-Tenders and Pubic Sector procurement.
10. High level communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels using different mediums.
11. Ability to lead, manage and motivate others through change and in challenging circumstances.
12. Ability to work under pressure to address and meet conflicting priorities.
13. Ability to use own initiative and judgement to solve problems and respond to others.
