The RAC currently have an exciting new Senior Pricing Analyst position within their Insurance Pricing Team on a permanent basis. The role is based in the Bristol office on a hybrid basis with the expectation of being in the office two days a week.
RAC Insurance operates as a broker within the personal lines insurance market and has big ambitions to grow in this area.
What You’ll Do…
The core function of this role is to develop advanced analysis of insurance data. You will use mathematical and statistical techniques to inform pricing decisions that ensure profitability is maintained whilst maximising growth. You will also:
1. Run analyses to understand the drivers of trading performance
2. Proactively explore and identify opportunities for pricing changes that deliver business and customer value
3. Develop and maintain projections of future performance and provide solutions to mitigate pressures on business targets
4. Carry out scenario and sensitivity analyses that inform what-if business questions
5. Imagine and develop innovative data assets through proof-of-concept solutions that demonstrate superior value to existing processes
6. Discover and present pricing insights to stakeholders from other business areas
7. Collaborate with other members of the Pricing team and support the development of junior members of the team.

15. Comfortable dealing with uncertainty to develop ‘robust’ outputs on time
You will need A-level Maths Grade A or above. Experience of insurance pricing or predictive modelling is desirable but not essential. Strong software skills (experience of Excel, SQL, Python or similar) are a bonus.
