About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity available for a dedicated teaching assistant to join a well-established primary school. The role will primarily be based in our Y1&2 Class supporting the pupils and class teacher. There would also be regular opportunities to be paid as an HLTA. This is a fixed-term role in the first instance for 30.40 hrs per week from 08:45 – 15:15 Monday to Friday. This includes lunchtime duty.
Your role may include, but will not be limited to:
* Lesson planning: Assist teachers in planning activities and lessons.
* Student support: Provide one-on-one support to students and help with tasks.
* Behaviour management: Help teachers manage challenging behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
* Social and emotional development: Support students' social and emotional development and report any issues.
* Classroom management: Supervise group activities and clear away equipment after lessons.
