The role: Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer
As a key member of our R&D department, you will leverage your expertise in embedded software/firmware design to develop and implement world-leading gas sensors and instruments. Your work will directly contribute to the safety and well-being of countless individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Innovative Development: Create and develop firmware/embedded software for advanced sensors and instruments.
2. Collaboration: Work closely with team members to deliver exceptional products.
3. New Product Development: Drive the introduction of new sensors and instruments from concept to market.
4. Sustaining Engineering: Maintain and enhance existing product designs to meet new standards and address issues.

5. Technology Integration: Develop common embedded software (Free RTOS) and firmware (bare metal) across the product portfolio.
6. Emerging Technologies: Identify and integrate new technologies.
7. Hardware Integration: Troubleshoot, fault-find, and solve hardware and firmware issues.

Skillset Required:
9. Proficiency in C, C++ for STM32, and Microchip microcontrollers and DSPs.
10. Experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as Visual Studio, Visual GDB, and Keil.
11. Ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings.
12. Hands-on experience with PCBs, microcontroller programmers, and standard electronic tools.
13. Understanding of mechanical and software components and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, BLE, LoraWAN).
14. Familiarity with FreeRTOS.
Education, Qualifications & Experience:
15. Essential: Degree-level qualification.
16. Essential: 5+ years of engineering experience.
