The Ministry of Defence employs over 50,000 Civil Servants. Within that, the Army Top Level Budget (TLB) employs around 7,000 MOD Civil Servants located at over 300 locations. The Head Arms & Services is responsible for all the Corps and Regiments across the British Army. These Corps/Regimental HQs promote, pride, ethos, identity, and a sense of belonging within both the Regimental System and in the Army. The Regimental System manages our people, heritage, ethos and identity from cradle to grave, including support to cadets, soldiers, wounded injured sick (WIS), veterans and their families.
This post sits within a small but dynamic 1* Headquarters providing support to the 14 + 2 Corps Headquarters (HQs)

Job description
Your role as a Business Support Manager will be to directly support Head Arms & Services (Hd A&S) and the Business Manager (BM) in all Business Management and Finance taskings in order to deliver Core outputs. Including but not limited to:
1. Management of the day-to-day administrative support to Hd A&S including, diary, transport and meeting organisation
2. Preparation and collation of reports and/or submissions as required by Hd A&S
3. Management and development of the online Sharepoint site and act as Webmaster/IM for A&S
4. Proactively seek to streamline existing processes within A&S
5. You will be the point of contact (POC) for all Robertson House and Sandhurst Business including Conference Room bookings as required
6. Holder of the Miscellaneous Stores Account for A&S
7. Manage all A&S In Year Reward Scheme (IYRS) and Thank You Scheme (TYS) nominations from Corps Headquarters
8. Act as POC and organiser for all recruiting submissions from Corps Headquarters in preparation for the A&S recruiting panels as required
9. Be the POC for all financial approval Business Cases (BCs) via the A&S Multiuser Mailbox for onward submission and/or approval by A&S or HQ MS
10. Management of Reserve Service Days payments for HQ A&S Reserve Staff and facilitation and oversight of A&S RHQ Reserve Staff

14. To be IT literate - a familiarity with Office 365 systems including Sharepoint is beneficial however training will be given
