We are currently recruiting for an individual to join our team to provide support for both academic and emotional needs. These children have a diverse range of experiences that mean an empathetic and resilient approach must be taken.
Job Description:
* In this role, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for the students.
* Providing 1:1 and small group support.
* Building strong relationships with students to establish trust and rapport.
* Promoting positive behaviour management techniques and strategies.
* Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to support student learning.
* Creating a safe and nurturing atmosphere where students can thrive academically and emotionally.
While no specific qualifications may be required for this role, having a background in education, psychology, or related fields can be advantageous. A genuine passion for helping students with SEMH needs achieve their full potential is a very important quality we look for, as well as a willingness to learn and adapt the unique needs of each student. Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations are essential.
