The Company:
An exciting opportunity for an Business Development Manager to join a Tier 2 Main Contractor in the South Midlands. Our client operate primarily within the civil engineering sector with the clients such as Local Authorities & Private Develops. They tender projects ranging in value from £500,000 up to £25 million, with their average contract value being c£8 million.
About The Role:
Although our client is very successful in securing new tender opportunities and regular Framework agreements, they are actively seeking a new Business Development Manager to ensure continuity of workload and opportunities.
You will build strong relationships with Local Authorities and Private sector clients, presenting the Main Contractors offering.
?Develop short and long-term sales opportunities.
?To follow up on quotes, engaging with the customer to support offers.
?To ensure scope and project requirements have been captured within our offering.
?Communicate lead times along with assessing risk items
?Work closely with colleagues to ensure cross communication throughout the business.
?Sales and Growth
?Develop trusting relationships and a positive reputation with existing and new customers
?Grow revenue from existing and new customers
?Build a pipeline for new business, negotiate and close sales opportunities
?Develop in depth understanding of the needs of our customers and the applicable standards and governance to which they are working
About You:
?Experience of working as a Business Development Manager for a Main Contractor
?B2B marketing and meetings
?Assist with bid writing and quality submissions
?Social Media/Marketing
?Produce future bid information and client reports
?Assist with Social Value
?Excellent communication skills.
?Existing relationships within the Public sector client base (Midlands)
?Ability to manage a varied and hectic workload.
?Live in a commutable distance to Worcestershire
