Company Overview: Our client is a global leader in innovation, development, and manufacturing of lithium-ion batteries. With a significant presence in the transportation sector, they are the sole maintenance supplier for over 1000 'Boris Buses' in London. As part of their expansion plans for 2024, we are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to join their team and ensure the smooth operation of their workshop facility.
Job Description: The Workshop Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of quality, efficiency, and safety within the workshop environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and proficiency in SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products) to manage workshop operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and supervise workshop staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure optimal team performance.
2. Oversee the planning and execution of workshop activities, including maintenance, repairs, and inventory management, to ensure efficient use of resources.
3. Implement and enhance workshop processes and procedures to optimize productivity and maintain high-quality standards.
4. Possess a strong technical background in electronics to understand and address complex workshop issues effectively.
5. Utilize SAP for workshop scheduling, maintenance tracking, stock controlling, and generating relevant reports.
6. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate workshop activities and ensure timely completion of tasks.
7. Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
8. Full clean UK driving license.
9. Proven experience as a Workshop Supervisor or similar role in a technical environment, preferably in the manufacturing or automotive industry.
10. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse workshop team.
11. Technical background with a deep understanding of workshop operations, including maintenance and repairs of complex equipment.
12. Proficiency in SAP for workshop scheduling, maintenance tracking, and inventory management.
13. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
14. Excellent communication skills and a highly flexible attitude towards work assignments and scheduling.
