Here's the exciting bit…a day includes Role Purpose: To understand trends, customers’ needs and deliver effective and engaging marketing communication through Social Media, in line with business objectives and strategy. The primary objective is to drive awareness for Superdrug and acquire new customers through Social Media that results in an increased level of engagement and loyalty online. Aimed to ultimately to drive traffic and sales to Superdrug.com, the role will also help build commerce capability in social platforms as a long-term objective A typical day in this role includes: Leading and managing the social media strategy for Superdrug main social channels and local store pages including, but is not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tiktok and Snapchat with the primary objectives of driving brand awareness, growing our social followers, engagement and increasing customer conversion that ultimately results to traffic to Superdrug.com and sales Leading and creating the content strategy for Superdrug main social channels in line with commercial and business objectives while keeping a very close eye on social media trends to create reactive and tactical content Monitor and regularly report social media performance through combination of social media listening tools and other internal social tools. Identify and implement plan of actions based on performance, as needed. Providing guidance to stores social channels and producing bespoke content and sharing best practices Leading social marketing projects within the business, from supporting seasonal or brand campaigns, working with the online community – online media channels and influencers alike, to the trial of new social media platforms to deliver new and incremental social media followers to the business Leading the business when it comes to industry research, trend spotting and development into emerging social communication channels to push Superdrug as a digital frontrunner in Health and Beauty Managing Social media competition strategy and co-ordination with legal, CRM and Superdrug.com teams. Supporting all commercial categories across channels by focusing on business strategy whilst creating engaging content and reacting constantly to changing customers’ needs Collaborating with the Own Brand & Exclusive team to develop and deliver marketing communications that meet strategy and plans. Managing, reviewing and challenging the performance of external agencies against agreed KPIs Superdrug stakeholder co-ordination – management of internal relationships to promote Wellbeing and Beauty and presenting to Senior management including our CEO and parent company. Working with suppliers on joint and complementary social media evently support to maximise social media presence Line management of the Social Media Marketing Assistant, Executive and Social Media Apprentice. Managing budget, costs and income, for all Social Media platforms.
